Framatome GmbH in Germany bundles comprehensive engineering capacities, particularly at the Erlangen site. Framatome will participate in all work packages of the APAL project and in addition will lead WP3, the deterministic margin assessment. Framatome has a wide expertise in the field of PTS analysis for both deterministic and probabilistic approaches as well as for thermal hydraulic analysis. This expertise will be extremely valuable during the whole project and beneficial for the lead of WP3. Furthermore, Framatome has been involved in several international projects relevant for APAL (like ICAS, PROSIR, CRP9, DEFI-PROSAFE) and is well known for the outcomes and results of those projects.
