Limited Liability Company “IPP-Centre” (IPP), founded in 1996 on the basis of the G.S. Pisarenko Institute for Problems of Strength of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, is a center for analysis of structural strength, assessment of residual life of important structures and equipment. It is an Ukrainian leader in the development and supply of services for structural integrity assessment, extending the lifetime and ensuring the reliability of power and machine-building structures and components.
Based on IPP’s experience in LTO works for Ukrainian NPP, an identification of LTO improvements and state-of-the-art review for weld residual stress, warm prestressing as well as thermal-hydraulic (TH) analysis will be given. Using the high-efficient weigh function method, IPP-Centre will perform all the deterministic and probabilistic fracture mechanics calculations for WP3 & WP4 including all non-mandatory tasks. Also it will contribute to TH analysis for WP2 using CFD modelling. Since IPP-Centre has a huge experience in methodology development for Ukrainian Nuclear Industry will contribute to the preparation of best-practice for advanced PTS RPV analysis in cooperation with other partners in WP5. In WP2, TH uncertainties will be addressed and the set of 59 transients will be obtained. IPP-Centre will perform the deterministic fracture mechanics calculations for all 59 transients in WP3, including stress and temperature calculations, SIF calculations for postulated cracks and determination of maximum allowable reference temperature. Like all partners, IPP will also contribute to WP6 and WP7.
